BAE Systems won a Swiss International Airlines JetSpares contract covering its fleet of 20 Avro RJ100s, for a minimum of five years, and continuing until the last aircraft ceases revenue flying with the airline. The deal covers over 450 separate components.
MTU Maintenance Hannover was selected by Asiana Airlines to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services for its CF6-80C2 engines. The five-year maintenance agreement covers the CF6-80C2 engines powering Asiana's Boeing 767 and 747 fleets.
Lufthansa Technik has extended its existing Total Component Support (TCS) cooperation with Asiana Airlines (OZ) for an additional 10 years. The new agreement, announced at the Singapore Airshow, covers the carrier's fleet of 29 Airbus A320s and eight Boeing 737s and includes component pooling and MRO services. The renewal also includes extending the supply to include "many" new part numbers.
Pratt & Whitney has signed two seven-year agreements worth an estimated $450 million with Japan Airlines (JAL) to provide maintenance services for its PW4090 engines, as well as part repair services for its fleet of PW4074, PW4077 and JT9D engines.
SR Technics has agreed on a 10-year exclusive engine repair and maintenance contract with Indian operator SpiceJet (SG), worth up to $415 million. It will provide maintenance for the carrier's CFM56-7B engines on its fleet of 737-800 and -900ER aircraft, the first of which are already in the shop.

ST Aerospace has begun a $26 million expansion of its facilities at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park, adding a General Aviation aircraft hangar, simulator center for pilot training, facilities for aviation technical training and a VIP facility for air charter customers. The expansion is estimated to be completed by the end of 2012.
Eirtech Aviation announced continued expansion with the addition of two newly-constructed narrow body hangars in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Among Eirtech's service offerings are; aircraft repainting, interior refurbishment, aviation graphics, engineering and technical asset management services.
PAS Technologies has named Amy Hoage as VP, business development, based in West Des Moines, Iowa. Hoage is former director of aerospace business development for Goodrich Corp. Engine Components.
KLM E&M has named Ton Dortmans as EVP, succeeding Peter de Swert.
A J Walter Aviation has named Clive Richardson as regional sales director. Richardson joins AJW from roles at GE, Goodrich and, most recently, ADAT in Abu Dhabi.
EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering appointed Saied El-Mekkawy as chairman and CEO.
