VW Scores Strong Click Rates from Location-Based Super Bowl Campaign

Volkswagen had all the trappings of a Super Bowl campaign: the TV spots (including one released two weeks before the game to go viral), outdoor branding, a fleet of cars arond Indianapolis.

But to get its branding message of innovation and access through the ad clutter, VW also put an offer out to mobile users attending the game: Watch our video and get free Wi Fi access in hotels, cafes and public spaces around town.

MMA Guidelines Bring Order to a Tangle of Mobile Ad Sizes

The Mobile Marketing Association has issued a set of six standardized sizes for display ads on mobile screens of both feature phones and smartphones.

The guidelines replace an array of some 60 different sizes in use by mobile marketers today and are intended to make mobile ads easier to buy and produce, helping the channel grow.

Burt's Bees Launches New Line with Mobile, Facebook, Video

Burt's Bees is targeting a young demographic with a new line of personal care products with a campaign that integrates mobile, Facebook, video... and scratch and sniff cards.

On-package QR codes and mobile ringtone and wallpaper giveaways will help drive sampling of the new Gud line, targeted to young women 18 to 29--a heavy mobile-use demographic.
