Bally Stock to be
Delisted
CHICAGO --The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) notified Bally Total
Fitness that its common stock will be suspended prior to the market open
on May 2 and that the NYSE will formally delist Bally's stock, the club
company announced. The NYSE indicated that its delisting of Bally's
stock was a result of Bally's failure to satisfy the NYSE's continued
listing standards, including minimum market capitalization and minimum
average share price requirements. Also, the NYSE considered Bally's
failure to timely file its 2006 Annual Report on Form 10-K and its

Bally Sells
16 Canadian Clubs
CHICAGO -- Bally Total Fitness announced that it has agreed to sell
its 16 Toronto, Canada, facilities to Extreme Fitness Inc., which is
acquiring six of the clubs, and GoodLife Fitness Centres Inc., which is
acquiring the remaining 10 clubs. Read the

Earns Top Rating
NEW YORK -- For the second consecutive year, Charity Navigator
recognized the JCC Association for its fundraising practices. The
continental umbrella organization for the JCC Movement earned the
group's highest four-star rating for fiscal 2005, which was the most
recent data available. Charity Navigator is the nation's largest
independent evaluator and assesses 5,000 charitable organizations
annually to determine how much each spends to raise money and what
percentage of the dollars raised are allocated to programs and services.

Fitness Revenue Grows 32 Percent
EDEN PRAIRIE, MN -- First quarter 2007 brought with it 32.6 percent
revenue growth for Life Time Fitness, the Eden Prairie, MN-based health
club company. First quarter 2007 revenue was $153.1 million compared to
$115.4 million in first quarter last year.

Grow after Two-Year Stall
BOSTON -- Health club membership in the United States increased by
more than three percent last year from 41.3 million members (over the
age of six) in 2005 to 42.7 million in 2006, according to the
International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA). This is
the first increase after a two-year stall in membership numbers in 2004

A bomb threat at an L.A. Fitness club in Escondido, CA, turned
out to be a hoax. According to local police, someone called in the bomb
threat the night of April 23. The building and the surrounding area were
evacuated, and bomb-sniffing dogs swept it for explosives, which were
not found.
Parisi Sports Clubs, a northern New Jersey sports and fitness
center chain, chose CheckPoint HR LLC, an administrative service
organization that offers small- to mid-size organizations a single
source for human resources, payroll services and benefits
administration, for its Web-based Human Resource Management
System.
