  • An automated external defibrillator (AED) helped save the life of a 37-year-old man who had collapsed while jogging on a treadmill, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. After Mike Uttech collapsed at Western Racquet & Fitness Club in Ashwaubenon, WI, club members, including a respiratory therapist, gave him CPR before reviving him with the AED. After about eight minutes of aid from members and staff, emergency medical personnel arrived and took over, according to the newspaper. Doctors later told Uttech that he would not have survived without the club’s AED.

Fasy also was accused of extending one-year memberships without customers’ knowledge, then sending them to a collections agency when the bills were unpaid, according to the newspaper. Fasy likely will avoid jail time if he pays up to $170,000 in restitution to his victims by May 5, his sentencing date.
