  • According to a report in the Richmond (VA) Times-Dispatch, three Snap Fitness clubs are closing at the end of April. However, Snap Fitness officials say they have received inquiries from several Snap Fitness franchise owners who want to purchase the clubs and keep them open. Other clubs in the Richmond area are doing well, Snap Fitness officials added.
  • Crunch recently closed its Parkway Pointe club in the Atlanta area. An industry source says the club was formerly run by Bally and that Crunch directed members to a nearby LA Fitness.
  • 24 Hour Fitness today announced the completion of a 2,650-square-foot weight room at new Yankee Stadium. Located adjacent to the New York Yankees’ clubhouse, the weight room includes a variety of high-end cardio, strength training and flexibility training tools. 24 Hour has served as the official fitness center sponsor of the New York Yankees since 2007.
