The first step in planning any large annual religious conference is to choose a theme, then an identity to go with it. “Dare to Dream” is the theme for the Religious Conference Management Association’s 40th World Conference & Expo, which will be held January 24-27, 2012 in Kansas City, Mo. The 2012 conference logo is unveiled here first!

Social media may be what everyone’s talking about these days, but do you know how to put it to work for your religious conferences? Religious Conference Manager, part of the MeetingsNet group of magazines and Web sites, found some folks who can show you the way: Lara McCulloch-Carter, Julius Solaris, and Kate Slonaker. This Thursday, at 2 p.m. EDT, they’ll be sharing their knowledge, tips, and practical advice in a can’t-miss free webinar.
McCulloch-Carter, founder and chief brand storyteller of the consulting firm READY2SPARK, and founder of the thriving Twitter community #eventprofs, will provide an overview of social media’s role in marketing for today’s events. Event Manager Blog Editor Solaris, who founded one of the largest meeting planner groups on LinkedIn, will explain strategies such as using social pay-per-click and leveraging conference content providers on social networks to amp up your messaging. For those who want to brush up on the nuts and bolts, Slonaker, who is director of marketing with Cvent Inc., will show how to create Twitter hashtags, LinkedIn groups, and Facebook event pages, and how to hook those social media efforts into your event Web site and registration systems. There will be ample time for Q&A, so bring your questions (or e-mail them ahead of time to webinar facilitator and MeetingsNet editor Sue Pelletier.)
Don’t miss the chance to tap into their brilliance—register for this free webinar today!
