Scheduled for release this month, the new Gemini PS-03 3-channel filter

MAKES MOVE TO MILO
According to Masque Sound VP Geoff Shearing, the 70-year-old East
Rutherford, N.J.-based sound reinforcement company's decision to add 16
MILO high-power curvilinear array loudspeakers to its rental inventory
resulted from "clients asking for it," as Shearing reports. MORE
Touring Company LD Systems Adds New Amp, Cabinet to Inventory
Touring company LD Systems (Houston) recently added 60 Electro-Voice
P3000 RL(tm) amps and 58 X-Line(tm) Xvls(tm) cabinets to its inventory
of Electro-Voice X-Line, XLC(tm) and X-Array(tm) loudspeaker systems. LD
systems director of production services Robert Ausmus reports, "The
principal reason for the system expansion was to add to LD's touring
capabilities, as well as serving existing customers for large-format
events like the Houston Livestock Show Rodeo. The rodeo is held at
Reliant Stadium-the venue for the 2004 Super Bowl. MORE
TC Electronic XO24 Controller Now Shipping
TC Electronic XO24, a digital speaker-management controller with
flexible routing and state-of-the-art AD/DA converters designed for P.A.
systems and fixed installations, is now shipping. In addition to two
inputs and four outputs, XO24 offers a routing engine that sends any
input to any output. Each signal path includes crossover filters, 4-band
parametric EQ, delay, limiting and an additional 4-band speaker-tuning
parametric EQ. All functions of the XO24 are directly accessible via a
simple one-click user interface on the front panel, and the unit
features 20 factory and 100 user presets.

Sound Physics Labs Obtains Third-Party Certification
Critical performance data for several of SPL's signature loudspeakers
are now validated by a respected independent testing company. SPL has
had three of its speakers, including the C3 Contractor Cube, Trik-Trap
and Runt, performance tested by Electro-acoustic Testing Company (ETC
Inc.), a new third-party loudspeaker testing organization created by
Syn-Aud-Con (Synergetic Audio Concepts Inc.). MORE

Rental company Gerhofer (Munich) increased its order for Meyer Sound
gear, adding more M1D ultracompact curvilinear array loudspeakers to

KEY TO VIRGINIA PARTNERS' UPGRADE
Owner of Virginia-based audio company Soundworks, Steve Payne, and Mike
Southard, the owner of Southard Audio (Mt. Crawford, Va.) have
collaborated for more than 20 years while serving the regional live
sound market. As part of a conscious effort to overlap, they use similar
equipment when possible. Both considered improving their sound systems,
but were unsure what piece of gear would be turn key for an updated

Allen & Heath Installs ML5000 in Siemens Arena, Vilnius
Allen & Heath mixers have been installed in the 12,0000-capacity Siemens
Arena in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. Allen & Heath's distributor,
UAB Music Express, selected a ML5000 VCA live sound console, GL2200
dual-function mixer and an iDR DSP system for the venue, which is the
biggest and most advanced music and sports stadium in the Baltic States.

Church
JBL Professional announced that it supplied JC Productions (Sparks,
Nev.) with PD Series loudspeakers for a design/build project at local
Summit Christian Church.

EAW's DSA Series Speakers Brings Song to Tulsa
Tulsa, Oklahoma's First United Methodist Church has a history of serious
sound reinforcement challenges that have plagued the church since its
dedication in 1928. Hard surfaces and cavernous ceilings allow sound to
ricochet all over the building, garbling speech throughout the
1,100-seat space. During the years, church leaders consulted many audio
engineers, but they were thought to have been impossible to solve
without using acoustical treatments and distracting from the church's
aesthetics.

Historic Fort Peck Theater Gets Hearing Aid From Meyer
Eastern Montana's Fort Peck Theater was originally built in 1934 as a
silent movie house by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. During the
construction of the Fort Peck Dam, movies were shown around the clock to
accommodate the work schedules of the nearly 40,000 area residents.
Thanks in part to a Meyer Sound system designed and installed for the
theater by DECK Productions, the theater's sound has been rejuvenated.
