Mackie's new M Series line of power amplifiers is

Peavey SP 5.5P The SP 5.5P is an updated and powered
version of Peavey's SP 5 loudspeaker enclosure. The SP 5.5P features a
15-inch Peavey Black Widow loudspeaker with a 4-inch voice coil and
field-replaceable basket. These enclosures also feature RX 22
compression drivers with ferrofluid cooling and patented Quadratic
Throat Waveguide technology, which yields reduced horn distortion and

Networking to CTs Multichannel Models
Crown has added HiQnet and CobraNet™ networking
options for its CTs 4200a and CTs 8200 amplifier models. These models
ordered with the networking option can connect to a 100Mbps Ethernet
network using standard Ethernet hardware (switches, network interface
cards and cables), allowing them to be remotely controlled and monitored
via Harman Pro System Architect software. MORE
InnovaSon Explores Christopher Columbus Musical Datemi
Tre Caravelle, an extravagant musical inspired by the life of
Genovese explorer and mariner Christopher Columbus, from Oscar-winning
designer Gianni Quaranta, debuted in Italy where it is currently playing
all major Italian cities before heading to New York and Broadway in
October 2006. Italian rental company and theater specialists Fox Sound
Service furnished all the audio and lighting equipment for the show,
including an InnovaSon Sy48 compact digital console for monitoring

Lectrosonics Helps Out Vegas Theater While readying the
sound system for Wynn Las Vegas' new Aqua Theatre, theatrical audio
specialist Pascal Van Strydonck, head of audio for the venue and also
the show's sound designer, was presented with a significant problem. The
2,087-seat, in-the-round home of Franco Dragone's Le Reve: The
Show was suddenly not the same venue acoustically as originally
designed. Fronted by a Yamaha DM2000 digital console, the house P.A. --
a 5.1 surround, 360-degree, six-zone system by Meyer Sound -- was
already ordered and installed, yet architectural and rigging changes
significantly affected its performance. MORE
New Distribution Company Created Scott Schumer (pictured)
has created a new distribution company, In2Out Audio. "In forming this
company, we are making pristine audio, flexibility and reliability our
prime directives," says Schumer, "folding U.S.-brand management and

Meyer Outfits Japan Theater Osaka, Japan's Theatre BRAVA!,
which opened its doors in March of 2005, has undergone a substantial
renovation, including new décor, revamped lighting and a new
state-of-the-art sound system featuring Meyer Sound self-powered

VER Adds VerTec to Inventory Video Equipment Rentals (VER),
an A/V, broadcast and audio equipment rental company in the U.S. with 16
offices nationwide, recently purchased a new JBL VerTec system, adding

Jumps Into Digital Realm With Biamp
Located on the St. Paul Campus of The College of St.
Catherine, The O'Shaughnessy Auditorium plays host to concerts, lectures
and theatrical performances every year since it first opened its doors
more tan 35 years ago. Stage manager Kevin Jones and production manager
Greg Morisseyturned to Bloomington, Minn.--based Audio Logic Systems to
design and install a new digital audio network that could outperform the
auditorium's current system. MORE
Sound Image Specs Lake for Gibson Amphitheater The Gibson
Amphitheater at Universal CityWalk, formerly known as the Universal
Amphitheater, recently brought in Sound Image of Escondido, Calif., to
perform a complete sound system renovation. Critical to the new setup at
the well-known Los Angeles--area venue is a multichannel Lake Mesa Quad
EQ™ digital matrix processor system, which has been installed to
provide front-of-house main system and onstage monitor loudspeaker

Nexo Array for Oregon Church System designers and
integrators Delta Systems Integration of Portland, Ore., recently
completed installation of a NEXO sound reinforcement system at Rolling
Hills Community Church in Tualatin, Ore. This spacious sanctuary becomes
the first worship venue to use a combination of NEXO GEO T tangent
arrays with a NEXO ALPHA cluster. MORE
Temple Gets Sabine Wireless Treatment SHOWORKS (Atlanta)
recently spec'd Sabine's wireless system for Temple Sinai. "Many of our
small- and medium-sized houses of worship do not have the luxury of a
trained staff for running their sound systems," says Rex Garrett from
SHOWORKS. "Sabine's wireless system is the key that makes Temple Sinai's
system as simple to use as flipping a switch." MORE
SLS Hangs From Catholic Parish St. Martha's Catholic Parish
(Murietta, Calif.) has installed an SLS Loudspeakers sound system for
its 1,600-seat sanctuary. Jeff Miller of Sound Technology Consultants
specified the design and Tim Carlson of AMT Systems completed the
