recently brought out for Hookahville 25, the spring 2006 installment of
the bi-annual jam band festival held at Legend Valley in Thornville,
Ohio. Formerly known as Buckeye Lake, the outdoor venue was a favorite

Fontana Uses Meyer for Millennium Bridge Perhaps because he
lives in San Francisco, sound sculptor Bill Fontana (pictured) has come
to regard suspension bridges as living structures that should be heard
and seen. Fontana creates works in which he puts microphones and sensors
in interesting locations and transmits the sounds they pick up to
equally interesting locations some distance away, where they are
reproduced in real time by carefully placed loudspeakers. MORE
Howieson Mixes, Records With Lectrosonics In addition to
using Lectrosonics' TM400 wireless system for test and measurements,
veteran sound engineer Jamie Howieson recently used it to record ambient

 E-V Speakers Out
at Music Summit From August 10 to August 14, 2006, indie rock
bands from around the U.S. descended on Indianapolis to take part in the
city's Midwest Music Summit, comprising 15 venues playing host to more
than 100 bands. The festival's main stage, located in the city's Broad
Ripple neighborhood, featured nearly 30 bands, all performing through
the newest loudspeaker system offering from Electro-Voice, Phoenix. MORE
Neutrik Helps Battle of Bands Neutrik provided Silent Plug
cabling assemblies to up-and-coming bands participating in the East
Coast Indie Stage's Battle of the Bands at the historic CBGB nightclub
in New York City. Six bands packed the house, with the winner of the
contest, Millsted, earning the chance to perform on the East Coast Indie
Stage (ECIS) as presented on the 2006 Vans Warped Tour. MORE
Adams Named NSCA Instructor of the Year In recognition of
his dedication to educating the audio community, R Bob Adams, director
of technical communication for SLS Loudspeakers, has been named
Instructor of the Year: Systems Sales by the National Systems Contractor

Sounds of the Underground's current tour, which is
featuring opening act GWAR, is bringing out an Electro-Voice X-Line

With Heil Sound Joe Walsh has teamed up with the original members
of the James Gang for their first U.S. tour, James Gang Rides Again, in
more than 30 years. With Jimmy Fox on drums, Dale Peters on bass and
Walsh on guitar, the James Gang kicked off their 17-date tour on August
10 after extensive rehearsing in Burbank, Calif. MORE
JBL Tours With Scorpions Scorpions has been touring Europe
throughout 2006 in support of a recently released live concert DVD
(One Night in Vienna). The band's July 23 outdoor show at Tsirium
Stadium in Limassol, Cyprus, was handled by rental firm MKG Touring
Technologies, who brought out its JBL VerTec VT4888 mid-size line array

Takes Dolby for Williams Britannia Row Productions has purchased
13 Dolby Lake Processors for loudspeaker management on the Robbie

Martin Heats Up With Lectrosonics Ricky Martin's monitor
engineer, Raphael Alkins, collaborated with guitar tech Tim Wright in
choosing Lectrosonics IS400 wireless beltpack instrument system for use

WorxAudio While Clair Bros. Systems handle the hardware for sound
reinforcement, it's not uncommon to find WorxAudio Technologies'
