NSCA Product Debuts
NSCA 2003 is back in Dallas, March 13-15, 2003. Here is a sampling of products making their pro audio debut:

Offering a simple stand-alone DSP processor, BSS Audio introduces the new Soundweb Lite 3088 programmable digital audio system. Drawing from its larger networked Soundweb 9088iis, the Lite version's design offers a max of eight inputs and eight outputs.

Gepco's new X-Band analog audio cable (available as single- and multi-pair versions) is an ultra-flexible, sonically transparent, low-noise and durable balanced cable for live sound venues or recording studio apps.

Gold Line will show its new TEF04, an omnidirectional, free-field mic for measurements and recording applications. For more measurement applications, the company offers its new PDA-based digital Real-Time Analyzer, which provides functions such as FFT analyzer, high-resolution, low/mid-frequency analysis, weighted SPL and waterfall-type displays of decay.

L-Acoustics will premiere two coaxial loudspeaker systems--the two-way active 112XT and larger 115XT.

Lake Technology will be launching the new Lake Contour DSP-based loudspeaker processor, featuring a wireless remote interface.

Get an upclose look at MacPherson's signature loudspeakers: the IS12X, M2X Version 2 and PC12, which all offer high-SPL, minimum frequency and phase distortion, and accurate vocal/music reproduction.

PreSonus introduces its CL44, a hybrid VCA-based, 4-channel compressor/limiter/compander with digital signal processing sidechain.

Designed to quickly translate real-time video signals into and from the digital domain, Sigma Electronics' new ADC-2100 and DAC-2100 video-converter cards will work with the company's 2100 Series frame.

SPL announces the latest addition to its line of high-fidelity, high-output Boundary Compliant sound reinforcement loudspeakers: SPL-triktrap. Designed by acoustics engineer Tom Danley, the triktrap complements the SPL-trik boxes. Also designed by Danley, the new SPL-td1/Sub is a compact, high-output subwoofer that fits in the same cabinet as the td1, making the system easily arrayable. Also for live performance applications, the company introduces its LS8694 Line Sound, Line Array speaker system, the RLA/1 and RLA/2 Ribbon Line Array speaker system.

A new external preamplified microphone system from TerraSonde complements the Audio Toolbox for precise acoustic measurements.

Distributed by Sennheiser, Turbosound's new compact speakers for the Q-Light Series, the two-way TQ-310 and TQ-315, feature the company's proprietary Converging Elliptical Waveguide horn design for horizontal and vertical speaker installs. Its TQ-308SP loudspeaker enclosure is now shipping. Sennheiser will show its new Contractor Series of condenser mics for conference, broadcast and houses of worship applications; it begins shipping first quarter.

Z-Systems adds to its series of Digital Detangler Pro audio routers with the z-256.256r Detangler Pro, which accommodates up to 256 stereo/2-channel routing in any combination to a total of 256 outputs.
