The 77-city Max Air Broadcast Tour continues its trek across the country: September 2-5, Ashville and Greenville, N.C.; September 8-12, Charleston, Savannah and Columbia, Ga.; September 15-19, Jacksonville and Orlando, Fla.; September 22-24, Tallahassee, Fla.; and September 25-26, Mobile, Miss.

The seventh annual China International Musical Instrument Fair will be held September 11-14, 2003, in Beijing.

Business Chops for the Independent is a series of training events designed to bring professional business tools and understanding to the quickly growing ranks of independent producers, engineers and recording artists. The first workshop will be held Monday, September 15, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, Calif. LOOKING AHEAD
The 115th AES Convention hits New York City from October 10-13, 2003, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Online registration is now available. Visit www.aes.org/events/115 for updates. A calendar of events is available as a free download, either as an excel file or as a pdf.

Coinciding with AES, the Remix Hotel will run October 10-12, 2003, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly at the School of Audio Engineering at Herald Square and the Tribeca Grand Hotel. Remix magazine will host three days of technology master classes, workshops, seminars and clinics on music production and performance targeting electronic and urban music producers, engineers, musicians and DJs in the Tri-State area. Each evening, Remix will host a VIP cocktail reception and DJ event/party on the outdoor terrace at SAE.

Disc Makers is kicking off the latest installment of the Independent Music World Series (IMWS), a music showcase series for independent musicians in the country. The Northeast showcase finals will be held at The Lion's Den in New York City on October 30, 2003, and will feature performances by the top six acts selected by Billboard magazine. Bands and artists can log onto www.discmakers.com/imws to register for the Northeast showcase and find out more information about the IMWS. All registrants will receive a free copy of Remix magazine.
