LOOKING AHEAD
The 115th AES Convention hits New York City from October 10-13, 2003, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Online registration is now available. Visit www.aes.org/events/115 for updates. A calendar of events is available as a free download, either as an excel file or as a pdf.

Coinciding with AES, the Remix Hotel will run October 10-12, 2003, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly at the School of Audio Engineering at Herald Square and the Tribeca Grand Hotel. Remix magazine will host three days of technology master classes, workshops, seminars and clinics on music production and performance targeting electronic and urban music producers, engineers, musicians and DJs in the Tri-State area. Each evening, Remix will host a VIP cocktail reception and DJ event/party on the outdoor terrace at SAE.

Disc Makers is kicking off the latest installment of the Independent Music World Series (IMWS), a music showcase series for independent musicians in the country. The Northeast showcase finals will be held at The Lion's Den in New York City on October 30, 2003, and will feature performances by the top six acts selected by Billboard magazine.
