Through the sponsorship support of the Audio Engineering Society (AES), the House Ear Institute (HEI) will offer free hearing screenings and hearing health information for attendees and exhibitors at the 115th AES Convention, October 10-13 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. The 115th AES Convention hits New York City from October 10-13, 2003, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Here are a few products that will be making their AES debut:

Apex INTELLI-X
Apex's Intelli-X -- a 24-bit/48kHz, single-rackspace, 4-input, 8-output equalizer and loudspeaker-management system -- provides all of the processing required between the mixer outputs and the amplifier inputs. Designed to handle all live and installed sound applications, Intelli-X can be networked and features extensive parametric and graphic EQ, filtering, delay, and output limiting options simultaneously on all outputs, with flexible crossover and matrix configurations. BSS Audio FDS-366T
BSS Audio's new FDS-366T offers two new filter types that are designed around the Australian WHISEWORKS and Neville Thiele Method filters, which are comparable to Linkwitz-Riley 36 dB/octave and 48 dB/octave, but with steeper roll-off slopes of 36 dB and 52 dB per octave, respectively. MORE

Lake Technology Lake Contour Plug-In
Lake Technology's new plug-in for Lake Contour™ provides full integration between the Contour Controller software and SIA SmaartLive(R), and shows spectrum, spectrograph and transfer functions directly within the Contour Controller graphical interface. MORE

Rane G4, MM 42, DEQ 60L
Rane's full-featured, high-performance G4 quad gate offers gating, ducking and downward-expansion modes, as well as internal high- and low-cut filters and external sidechain inputs. Connecting in line between a mixing console and a wired or wireless monitor system, the MM 42 processes a single stereo mix or two independent mono mixes using shelf/cut filters, 3-band compressor, 5-band parametric EQ and 3-band peak limiter. The DEQ 60L Stereo 1/3-octave digital graphic equalizer is the long-throw (45mm) fader version of Rane's 1/3-octave graphic equalizer (model DEQ 60) introduced earlier this year. MORE

TerraSonde Analysts Firmware
The Analysts Firmware module brings the power of three measurements within the reach of any Audio Toolbox owner: Multi-Band RT60, STIpa and TDA. The module installs easily on the Audio Toolbox and includes all of the measurements from TerraSonde's Contractors firmware module, as well. MORE
