Focusrite Forte Suite
Digidesign, the North American distributor of Focusrite products, announced the availability of The Forte Suite, Focusrite's latest plug-ins. The Forte Suite offers sophisticated modelling of the ISA 110 EQ and ISA 130 dynamics processors, two modules from Focusrite's analog console, the Focusrite Forte. Voxengo PHA-979 Plug-In

Digidesign Announces Mix-to-HD Hardware Exchange
Digidesign announced new savings with the MIX-to-HD Hardware Exchange program. For a limited time, owners of a Pro Tools|24 or Pro Tools|24 MIX system can exchange their system for a Pro Tools|HD 2 or 3 Accel system and save an additional $2,000 off of the regular Hardware Exchange list price, or exchange for a Pro Tools|HD 1 and save an additional $1,500. Olympic Games to be Broadcast With Audio-Technica Mics
Audio-Technica microphones will be used by Athens Olympic Broadcasting S.A. to broadcast the 28th Olympic Games, held August 13-29, 2004, in Athens. AOB is the host broadcaster for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and is responsible for producing and distributing audio and video coverage. AOB generates an international signal, which includes all camera, audio and graphics generated at each sporting venue, and transmits it to all radio and television rights-holding broadcasters that adapt the signal for transmission on their networks. Avatar Hosts Dave Brubeck
Telarc Records recently recorded Dave Brubeck in DSD for a 5.1 surround release in Avatar Studio's (New York City) Studio C. The recording featured a live interview by Walter Cronkite. Russell Gloyd produced the record, with engineering talent from Jack Renner and Peter Doris. MORE

Steve Horowitz Scores Sundance Hit
Composer Steve Horowitz created the original music score for the Sundance film, Super Size Me, capping off a four-year relationship with director Morgan Spurlock. The film was picked up by Roadside Attractions and Samuel Goldwyn, and will be released in theaters across the U.S. this spring. MORE

Trivers/Myers Music Broadcasts United Airlines Spot
The new animated commercial for United Airlines, which had its "opening night" during the Oscar broadcast, is a richly detailed 60-second animated film directed by Wendy Tilby and Amanda Forbis for Fallon Advertising in Minneapolis. The arrangement of George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" was composed and produced by husband-and-wife team, John Trivers and Liz Myers of Trivers/Myers Music Inc. MORE

Mike Lattanzi Hosts 'Cold Mountain' Actress
Actress Taryn Manning (8 Mile, Cold Mountain) and her brother Kellin Manning from the band Boomkat were in Mike Lattanzi's private Hollywood Hills studio recording vocals and taking photos with photographer Chris Amereouso for her forthcoming album. All tracks were cut on Lattanzi's vintage 76-input API console modified by Steve Firlotte of Inward Connections. MORE
