Instant Recognition Key for Midas Console
Midas Consoles Holland, the new distribution model for Midas and Klark Teknik products in the Netherlands, has sold a 32-channel Heritage 1000 console to concert hall and congress center, De Doelen. According to Sander Zijlstra, head of sound at De Doelen, the center hosts more than 600 concerts a year, including each artist's respective engineer. Zijlstra's choice to go with Midas is that "99 percent of engineers are instantly familiar with the control surface and therefore at ease. They know it's going to sound great, and I've yet to meet anyone who would actually turn their nose up at working on a Midas. For the majority, it would be their first choice anyway."
